We the undersigned strongly object to the construction of a new coal plant in Ashkelon, Israel - at the same location where there is already a big climate changing coal plant operating 24 hours a day.
Climate change is the greatest threat the world faces, and coal is the worst offender. Israel needs to stop importing climate change, and instead invest in clean renewable energy sources and massively improve energy efficiency. Israel is already building the world’s solar thermal plant, and selling the technology worldwide. So, why invest in polluting coal when you already have the answer?
Israel must quit coal, and save the climate!
