would first like to thank you for what you are and are still doing to prtect our environment. I have shot some pictures of Ain Mreisseh Beach which I was astonished to see while having a walk on the sidewalk. As a Lebanese citizen I got disgusted to actually see with my own naked eye that we are actually swimming in this kind of poluted water. What is even more shocking is the location where the fish hunters are sitting which explains why too many people get sea food poisoned. Actually seein it is totally different from hearing, because I alsways heard the beach is polluted but had never actually seen it with my own eyes… I have shot these pictures so that I would send them to you believeing that you are our only hope to get our lovely beaches clean and save our country from polution and corruption.
P.S: I have sent such an email on 12/07/09 having attached several of these pictures! I am highly interested in Green Peace activities and I would be honored to join your supportive active team! Wishing you all the best!

it is urgent to create no fishing zones all over the lebanese coast and strengthen the control on the fishing practices (purchasing boats and creating specialised teams and not rely only on the army.

I believe that people in our area still unaware of the beauty and mesmerism of this sea.We still take our sea for granted as if it will always be there to entertain us, feed, and ornament our window view. It is cruel what we are willing to do to harm such an amazing peaceful blue space…Sea can be a man’s best friend….

That’s Our sea !!! From the inside …

Everything have a limit in this life and OUR GLOBE HAD ENOUGH You give Nature THE BEST it will give YOU ALL THE BEST BUT WHEN YOU GIVE IT THE BEST OF GARBAGE IT WILL REALLY TAKE HER REVENGE…

some of us are careless, others are witnessing only, others don’t know what is going on, meanwhile life in the mediterranean is ruined in so many different ways. we have to care and act.

There must pressure groups in each mediteranean city to build a sewage treatment plant and stop pouring polluted water in the sea..

For me it is a danger that opposes because they must protect espéces because they are on voice disparution therefore they are threatened by their traqeurs. I say stop!

I took this picture of the city of Jounieh in Lebanon, from the Harissa mountain that borbers the beautiful city. I decided to upload a beautiful picture of the Lebanese shore viewed from far. But unfortunatly it is such a shame that our beautiful shores have been transformed from a public property to “day-clubs”. All the nice beaches have been transformed into resorts and bars where you pay to enjoy the sand and the sun.
The fish in the Med.sea are becoming less and less due to pollution and wrong ways of fishing like explosives during the civil war, and at the Southern areas until the year 2000, add to that fishing with a very small mesh(holes) specially which is used for catching sardines which is called in Lebanon by (Dirdary). I suggest with the help of many interested departments to create farms along the coast to bread and hatch small fish in great numbers and returning it to the sea in order to multiply.

we must keep our sea clean, because polluting it will cause fish to dye and poisinning us

I believe we are all responsible in bringing all the oceans and seas, back to their beginning, before we ever came along to pollute and diminish…
